30th march


today i have finished up the power ups and also the sounds. i came across a major problem right at the very beginning of today which was the a piece of code which wasn't being run and also conflicting other code so i commented it out and moved some of it around and it then worked. the most easiest bit of today was adding in my sound wav's. next week i need to do my high score table and also detail my graphics

today i have fixed the power ups and sent gaz an email with the alpha. im awaiting comments from gaz but i have started the high score code and sounds.

Grr simple mistakes


today i have been tackling the problems of totally mind blanking what i name things which caused a hell of a lot of problems such as the power ups which i named PowerUPHealth but i called everything in the script file PowerUpHealth so i was getting no errors but i was gettin no power up on the swf file, i then realised the file names were different and once they was changed it the works. also i have added a type so i can change between power ups automatically, to know when things have been collected i am going to make a bright red sheild and also all enemies get killed if nuked.

9th march


over the past couple of days i have been creating my mage blob enemy and i ran in to a few simple errors which was changing the name of certain areas such as the name of the blob to blobmage, also i have made the blob mage fire a bullet downwards. and finally i have got the point display working so when an enemy dies their points are shown on the screen.


next week i will be adding pick up which restore health and also a sheild.

2nd march overall update


over the past couple of weeks i have been doing my flash game for gaz. i started off making my ship and enemies in basic form then added to the game stage to my ship could move and fire one bullet at first and also have enemies comming from the top down with no properties. then i allowed my ship to have two bullets by duplicating the one file and changing where the bullet location was. then i made a explosion which is the pow letters when the first set of blobs are killed. and today the 2nd of march i created my scrolling background which loops once then stops.
i am going to make 1 more enemie and 1 boss.
