final design process

the final designs didn't take me to long due to having the main idea for the blobs, which is a rounded square and the ship I a basic design. i didn't include hex codes because i included them last time i thought i would keep them the same.

proposals

After being told what to include in my proposal ideas i started thinking about different ideas of a scrolling ship shooter, my idea was about a planet infested with blobs and you have to destroy them in order to progress there is a tiny bit of story to it but not much.
The second proposal i did was about a platformer in which a guy had fallen through time to a parallel universe and the only way back was through a portal.
Gaz also wanted hex codes for the colours so he knows what it is going to look like and also i have given him the proposals through the email and also images and concept art.

Review of some shooter flash games

FRANTIC
by polymerRabbit game studio

The menu interface is very simple and nice looking, not too many things going on at once and not too many colours. The music is a heavy fast beat type of music which is on a loop through out each level. It gives you a choice of control method before playing which is either mouse (left or right) or keyboard (WASD or SPACEBAR). It allows you to enhance your gameplay by buying cards which allows your ship to have better attacks. The enemies come from all over the screen and fire at your ship. It gives a clear indication when the boss is and when the level is over.

MUSHROOM MADNESS
by silengames

The overall design of the menu is simple but very bright in colours. It gives you a choice of easy medium or hard and also how many levels there are as well as only mouse controls. The sounds fit the the wacky idea of hitting hedgehogs and placing bear traps for the bears. Overall its not the best arcade shooter but its alright for ideas.

Enigmata

The menu is simple and very nice due to it being animated, it gives you the choice of three ships and a tutorial mode, gives a save option, and a looping sound but once in the game its turns out to be quite simple in the design and drawings which is its down fall but overall not the best ship shooter I have played.
